Rubau’s Corporate Director represented the RUBAU Group in the program of the 2nd Forum of Economic Activity Zones in Catalonia (PAE), organized by the Union of Industrial Zones of Catalonia (UPIC). The event took place on September 14th at the historic headquarters of the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce, Casa Llotja de Mar, with a welcome from the Chamber’s president, Mònica Roca, UPIC’s president, Xavier Sunyer, and the General Secretary of Territory, Joan Jaume.
Bordoy brought the experience and knowledge of one of the construction and services groups with the most extensive track record in developing infrastructure, buildings, and services projects promoted by public administrations. Rubau’s executive participated in the panel discussion “Overcoming Regulatory and Administrative Barriers in Urban Planning.” Agustí Serra, the General Director of Territorial Planning, Urbanism, and Architecture of the Generalitat of Catalonia, also participated in the same panel. The moderator was Maria Buhigas, Chief Architect of the Barcelona City Council.
Industrial zones are essential for the economic growth of regions. They generate economic activity, promote employment, and growth due to their ability to attract industries and businesses. The Director of the Catalan Water Agency, Samuel Reyes, was one of the participants in the table “Towards Sustainable PAEs,” and the General Director of Industry of the Generalitat, Oriol Alcoba, participated in the table “Business Collaboration: The Key to Competitiveness for Companies and Territories.”
Finally, the event was concluded by Eva Menor, Mayor of Badia del Vallès and Deputy President of the Economic Development and Tourism Area of Diputació de Barcelona.
