In August the National Apprenticeship Service of Colombia (SENA) awarded the Obras del Meta Consortium, to which ConstruccionesRubau belongs, the contract for ‘Technical studies, design and construction of the training headquarters of SENA specialised in hydrocarbons and agro-industrial development in the municipality of Puerto Gaitán for the regional section of the SENA in the Department of Meta, as part of the institution’s property located in the sector known as El Bolsillo’. It is a project worth approximately 9 million euros that covers 20,320 square metres, with an expected execution period of 11 months.
The project to be undertaken is intended to enhance the country’s economic, technological and social development. SENA provides free training for millions of Colombians and with this project will not only create 600 jobs but also intends to benefit 2,500 apprentices in further education and 450 on training courses, and to certify 500 people with employment skills.
