Infraestructures de Catalunya has awarded RUBAU Constructions the works for the reinforcement of the underground gallery on the C-66 road between Girona and Celrà to proceed with its complete reinforcement and rehabilitation, thereby preventing collapse at any point along the route, which has been experiencing partial subsidence resolved with punctual actions. The execution of the work aims to reinforce the entire structure of the gallery with the installation of metal beams and, at the same time, to install vertical cavities to reduce the pressure of the groundwater.
On the other hand, Barcelona Municipal Infrastructures (BIMSA) has entrusted RUBAU with the expansion works of the Eixample groundwater network in the Diagonal – Consell de Cent area. The works are part of the extraordinary and urgent measures to address the drought situation in Catalonia and have been promoted by the city council with the aim of expanding and improving the city’s groundwater network used for watering trees, plants, and street cleaning.
Both projects are a clear example of the catalan administration’s trust in our business group for the execution of infrastructure projects that bring progress and social welfare.
