RUBAU GROUP, through the consortium formed by the companies Rubau Polska and Poltores, has been awarded the S10 Bydgoszcz-Toruń highway, section 4 from the Toruń Zachód junction to the Toruń Południe junction, which has an execution period of 41 months (excluding winter periods) and a budget of more than 72 million euros.
The General Directorate of National Roads and Highways of Poland (GDDKiA) and the RUBAU GROUP signed the contract last Friday, January 20, in Warsaw, which aims to design and build an 11.8 km long section of the highway between the Toruń Zachód and Toruń Południe interchanges. As part of the investment, two new interchanges will be built: Toruń Podgórz and Toruń Czerniewice. The new route will shorten and facilitate access to the A1 motorway for drivers coming from Bydgoszcz, as well as facilitating access to the A1 for drivers coming from Toruń.
RUBAU, present in the Polish market since 2011, has carried out numerous and important projects in road contracts, railway lines, bridges and airport hangars that have involved the modernization of a large part of the country’s infrastructure. This is the second contract signed in the last four months with a client as important to us as GDDKIA, which increases the portfolio of our business group in Poland by approximately 160 million euros.
