The iconic twentieth-century building will house offices for the Barcelona City Council.
RUBAU Group has begun the rehabilitation works on the three upper floors (penthouse and floors 7 and 6), as well as the semi-basement and basement of the building located at Via Laietana 8-10. The renovation project was awarded to Rubau through a public tender by Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals (BIMSA). Known for being the headquarters of the former Courts of Barcelona, it is a monumentalistic twentieth-century building.
The works have already started and are expected to last for two and a half years. The iconic building will host offices for the Barcelona City Council, with a capacity for approximately 700 people.
Thus, RUBAU Group is once again involved in central projects in the city of Barcelona. Its accumulated experience and knowledge make it one of the leading service groups in the field of large infrastructures for transportation and mobility, corporate building restoration and retrofitting, as well as real estate services. The construction company’s trajectory has also allowed it to venture into new areas of activity in the energy, water management and treatment, and urban waste sector.
