Today, May 28, the new open-air museum project of the University of Girona (UdG) was inaugurated on the Montilivi Campus: El Jardí de les Roques. The event was attended by the Rector of the University and the Dean of the Faculty of Science.
It is a permanent informative installation of Earth Sciences that is configured as an open-air museum where the different rocks can be observed as monuments and samples of the geological heritage of the Girona region.
The project, an initiative of the GEOCAMB center and the Faculty of Sciences, has been financed by the UdG, and it has been possible thanks to the collaboration of companies such as ARIDCAL and RUBAU that have donated their rock samples for free and without interest.
